His research interests have focused on the integration of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability, particularly in the urban context. This includes applied interests in ecological economics, ecological footprinting, Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) development, spatial dynamic modelling, multi-regional environmental input-output analysis, computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling, numerical simulation and optimisation, and scenario development.
